This is an early cockade or parasol fan. The fan opens into a pretty circle design
when the handles are clipped into an open position. The fan is a pretty chocolate brown colour,
while the handles are a deep reddish brown colour. It is so exciting to see such an early fan in
such fine condition.
Size and Condition:
The fan when closed measures 9.5” long.
When open the fan is 10” wide by 14” long. It is in excellent condition, with a look
that only the passage of time can impart. TB
