This is a gorgeous ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN solid sterling silver mounted shoe horn that
was made in Birmingham, England in 1907 by the illustrious Victorian
silversmiths, Crisford & Norris at their Vyse Street workshops. It measures 5 3/4" long and is 1 1/8" wide. It weighs 31.3 grams - over 1 troy oz. It has stunning embossed decoration to the filled sterling silver handle and a steel blade.
It is in very good condition with just the usual
light surface scratching but no splits, almost no dings or dents and no
repairs with much less than the usual distortion - SUPERB. It is
hallmarked C&N, anchor, lion passant (sterling silver assay
mark), h showing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1907.
